The numbers at a glance
- Locker payout cap
- 100x rent
- OD limit, over ₹5L
- up to 75%
- Interest on
- Used amt
- Gold returned in
- 7 days
The 75% is of the gold metal's value, not the shop bill. For ₹25 lakh of jewellery, expect a limit of around ₹16 lakh.
The one thing to notice
A Gold OD is a loan. An unused limit costs no interest, but if you draw and leave dues unpaid, the lender can auction the gold after notice.
